The all 2011 M56 is Infiniti’s newest entry into the mid-size luxury sedan segment. Both the rear wheel drive M56 and the all-wheel drive M56x have big V8 DOHC engines and aggressive, “look at me”, styling. Starting under $60,000, the M56 has a lower price compared to its direct competition from Germany.

Power comes to the 2011 M56 in the form of a big, brute of a 5.6 liter V8 that puts out 420 horsepower. The 7-speed automatic transmission is standard and has four shift modes in addition to the manual shift paddles. For the new 2011 M56, Infiniti chose an aggressive looking style with a lowered ride height and bulging fenders. 18-inch alloy wheels with high performance tires are standard on the M56, helping the car’s great handling.

The M56 has a long list of standard safety features including front and side airbags, 4-wheel antilock brakes, and an active head restraint system designed to reduce whiplash injury in the event of a collision.
